An Evening with the Miami Valley Symphony

Saturday, March 15, 20257:30 PM

About This Event

Join the Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra for an unforgettable evening of classical masterworks in the stunning acoustics of the Arbogast Performing Arts Center. Under the baton of Music Director Jonathan Kramer, the 60-piece orchestra will perform Ludwig van Beethoven's iconic Symphony No. 5 in C minor — one of the most recognized compositions in all of Western music — alongside Antonín Dvořák's beloved Symphony No. 9, "From the New World."

This program celebrates the power of orchestral music to transcend time and place, pairing two composers who channeled deeply personal experiences into universally resonant works. The evening opens with a brief pre-concert talk at 6:45 PM in the lobby, led by Dr. Sarah Mitchell of Wright State University.

Doors open at 6:30 PM. The performance runs approximately two hours with a 20-minute intermission. A reception with the musicians follows in the Grand Lobby.
